Their pink t-shirts matched their faces by the time Tina Harrison and Karen Kane had got to the start line of the Waddington 2010 Race for Life Challenge. The sun was beating down on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far. The newly introduced distance this year was 10K, (or 6.2 miles old school). This is the furthest Tina had ever run in her life.
Once again Taylor Lindsey supplied the t-shirts, support and sponsorship for this independent charity dedicated to cancer research.
Tina and Karen were thrilled to finally cross the finish line and shelter under some shade to drink their water and admire their achievement and of course their medals.
What is the saying………only mad dogs and Englishmen…….
